How does Google index AJAX sites?

AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. It is made of a set of JavaScript APIs that allows website editors to make websites more dynamic. It permits to update the pages of a website without reloading them. In order to do so, JavaScript must be supported and activated in the user’s browser. The same goes for search engine bots like Google bots.
